The Enterprise II is the largest traditional teak
three-masted replica of an 18th century sailing junk in Hong Kong
today. She was built in 1973 commissioned by a European owner
with the original idea of sailing her back to the Mediterranean as a
luxury yacht. However fate conspired to keep her in Hong Kong where
for many years she operated as the 1st ‘Adventure Ship Huan’ helping
young people of all abilities to build self-esteem and confidence
through sea adventures.
The Enterprise II is unique in Hong Kong and her
sheer size of 89 feet makes her the largest of her kind in service.
She is licensed to and can comfortably accommodate up to 70 people
above deck or in her two large open plan rooms below deck making her
ideal for conferences and promotions in all weather conditions. The
vessel boasts a 350hp Mercedes engine, giving her a cruising speed of
10 knots and as a testament to her excellent design, she is capable of
cruising at over 10 knots under sail with a soft breeze, leaving
little to disturb her guests but the sound of lapping waters and the
wind in the sails.
The Enterprise II is currently located next to the
renowned Cococabana Restaurant in Hong Kong who operate her as ‘Le Boat’ at
scheduled times (further details on
